Omg sooo disgusting they did that, I would refuse to send the money & give it back to the ones who donated it...does anybody know what's the per publisher per mtg now $$?... the elders & Ms are the ones to makeup the deficit? Is this common practice?

the kingdom hall i used to attend and my mom still attends was paid off many years ago and serves about 6 congregations.
one of the english congregations has a lot of financially well of members.

@villageidoit, nothing against amazon just wanted to get the book where the proceeds go to a cause that's good not just making money off it... for example, when franz & wife a live if u would get it from the commentary press the proceeds would go to them which I totally support, since their departure not sure who took over & just wanted to support for someone who needs the proceeds, just want to do what's right in my heart & mind -

It was myself alone because of being falsely accused by someone in the congregation, the way elders did not handle this situation properly years ago & being slandered by this person which they knew she was lying & did nothing.... that in itself made me question they don't have God's spirit & i believe because that family donates alot of money to the KH fund... i saw JW trending in yahoo & decided to click on it, i didn't want to be blind anymore, it was the Royal Commission in Australia. ..found this forum & everything happened from there -

John Aquila: I believe we all can relate in going thru hell in different ways once we found out... but soo true once the clouds cleared up we we can see the more clearly...I feel the same way too, I don't think I'm an expert either because they have to be ready for it... something has to impact them personally to be open to TTATT -

I agree with John Aquila too there are many who don't qualify but definitely children do... little by little i have been reasoning with my child about it... recently he was talking abt a girl he likes in school & asked me "mommy does she have to be a JW"& i said " bebé do you think it matters to God that she isn't a JW or that she believes In Him & in Jesus?" Of course he responded the latter, kids are smart they are just used to a routine & need to fill the void with other Activities like sports, etc -

heartbroken and not sure what to do...
by Khaleesi ini don't know what to do.... i married last year and things have been very rocky.
we dated for 4 years and did have normal issues but always had a lingering doubt something was just not right in our relationship-behavior to be more specific, he is not a jw, but i am.
yes i know i married outside the "lord" but after my first marriage to a jw ended in divorce for physical abuse, i was glad i didn't married another jw.

JW Sister: raped, pregnant what does she do?, abortion or adoption?
by Olivia Wilde inthis question came out frequently from a situation known to some of us who knew of 2 cases.... if a single or married sister gets rapped by stranger or incest, a pregnancy results, she is not allowed to have an abortion but neither is she allowed to give it up for adoption?...i always question why not up for adoption?...
no you will be blood guilty because the child won't be raised in the "truth"... hmmmmm does anyone heard of that?
is it a matter of consciousness?

committeechairman: Yes that was the issue, in both cases they were told they cannot put the child for adoption, one had an unbelieving husband and felt the org/elders had no business determining family matters. The poor sister was torn in too, she couldn't keep the baby due to being soo traumatized and wanted to give it up for adoption because she wanted the baby to have a better home environment. The husband was going to leave her, so if you can find it please send!!!
